Fixing SharePoint before AI exposes the mess.
Simply SharePoint exists to help organisations bring order, clarity, and trust back into SharePoint — before Copilot and AI amplify poor structure, broken permissions, and content chaos.
Structure first. Everything else follows.
I specialise in information architecture, metadata, permissions, and real-world governance — helping teams find what they need, share safely, and trust their content again.
The goal isn’t “perfect SharePoint”. It’s a system that people understand, use correctly, and don’t accidentally break — the kind of practical outcome I focus on as a Microsoft MVP working across real environments.
Grounded in real work
Everything here comes from real organisations, real clean-ups, and real constraints — not idealised demos or theory that collapses at scale.
Information architecture is non-negotiable
Search, governance, and Copilot only work when the structure underneath makes sense. Fix the foundation, and everything else becomes easier — this is the core principle behind my MVP work.
Out-of-the-box, on purpose
Governance only sticks if teams can maintain it themselves. I prioritise native Microsoft 365 features so solutions last long after projects end.
I’m a strong believer that good information should be free and accessible.
Everything published on Simply SharePoint is designed to give practical, real-world guidance without a paywall — because the Microsoft 365 ecosystem moves fast and people need clear answers, not another vendor pitch. That commitment to sharing what actually works is a big part of what led to being recognised as a Microsoft MVP.
Hi, I’m Liza 👋
I’m the founder of Simply SharePoint, a Microsoft MVP, and a specialist who has spent over 20 years working inside SharePoint environments — from early intranets to modern Microsoft 365 and Copilot-ready platforms.
Working across so many environments has taught me that most SharePoint problems aren’t technical — they’re design, ownership, and structure problems that compound quietly over time.
What I love most is stepping into that complexity and designing a structure that finally makes sense — one that people understand, trust, and actually use.
Untangling messy SharePoint, properly.
I help organisations untangle messy SharePoint environments by focusing on information architecture, metadata, permissions, and governance that works in the real world.
That can mean cleaning up years of legacy content, redesigning site and library structures, or helping teams understand how SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Copilot are meant to work together.
Through Simply SharePoint, I publish deep-dive guidance, practical training, workflow cards, and learning pathways — based on real-world experience and recognised through my work as a Microsoft MVP.
Beyond SharePoint.
Outside of SharePoint, I love live music, great food, bold fashion, and spending time with my teenage daughter — usually somewhere in the city with a coffee in hand.
Before tech, I worked in fashion, and that creative background still shapes how I approach technology. Clarity, usability, and confidence matter just as much as capability.
Simply SharePoint blends structure with style, governance with humanity, and experience with honesty. If you’re ready to fix the mess and build something that lasts, you’re in the right place.
